The Numbers Argument Redux

Numbers prove God exists.   

There are 2 competing theories for the nature of numbers: Platonism & Nominalism.   If Platonism is true, then numbers exist as abstract mental objects that transcend space-time.    If Nominalism obtains, then they exist within space-time as abstract mental constructs that depend on the existence of our own minds to exist, ie without our minds, numbers would not exist. 

The theist & atheist agree that, regardless of which theory obtains, numbers require a mind to support their existence & usage.   No minds = no math, no numbers. 

Theists & Atheists also agree that matter & energy are underwritten by structure.   They also agree that structure in relation to matter & energy is underwritten by math & numbers.    

On the one hand, the atheist argues that there is either no evidence or insufficient evidence that a mind that is infinite & immutable exists, & on the other they have exactly zero evidence that matter & energy are able exist without the concomitant existence of math & numbers which require one or minds in order to exist.  

Moreover, numbers amount to a species of architecture in infinite measure.   The numerical distance between any two integers = an infinite set of integers.    

Atheists & theists agree that our minds are finite.   They also agree on the stability of mathematical relations.   If numbers inhere in one or more human minds, then numbers constitute a finite set of integers insofar as human minds are finite.   On the other hand, an infinite set of integers can be properly underwritten by an infinite, immutable mind. 

The world around us testifies to the problem of unity & diversity.    

Try accounting for the problem of the One & Many using atheological premises.  

Father, Mother, Child = Family

Paternity, Filiation,Spiration

Particle, Wave, Standing Wave

In, Out, Through 

Hartnell, Troughton, Pertwee = Doctor 

Federal, State, Local = Government 

Individual, Ecclesiastical, Civil = 3fold use of the Law 

Prophet, Priest, King - 3fold office, corresponding keys 

Animal, Vegetable, Mineral 

Over the Earth, Earth, Under the Earth

Solid, Liquid, Gas; Plasma has properties of each 

Number (Idea), Numeral, Word = Numerical Expression 

1 (number as idea; 1 (numeral), One (word), 1 object 

The best atheism will get you is “particle, wave, standing wave,” — which sounds intelligent until you ask the atheist to account for the measurements in the relation.   No mind = no numbers = no measurements.   

All the evidence points to the existence of a transcendent mind that is infinite & immutable.   The question is how immanent that mind is relative to the created order.  Atheism is a dead end.  No wonder so many of them turn to witchcraft.
