Confront! Prophetic Feng Shui
Awhile back I posted an article noting that the Bible is very clear that Inductive Prophecy is still alive & well on the Earth. However, due to the prevalence of Cessationism & the fact that we no longer live in a predominantly polytheistic society, Christianity seems to have lost its way relative to this issue.
This ought not to be controversial. In the Bible, Prophecy & Witchcraft/Sorcery are depicted as constantly at odds, which is precisely what one would expect given the reality of demons & their activity in the world. For example, Jude analogizes between the behavior of demons & that of false teachers in his day. It’s one thing to recognize that baptism & the Lord’s Supper & /or Fellowship ( Koinonia) Meal are prophetic acts. Is quite another to argue that inductive prophecy has real world application in the 21st Century AD/CE..
At its heart, the basic operative principle is that the cosmos is God’s Temple according to Romans 1, insofar as the natural teleology of the Created Order is to testify to God’s image, attributes, & authority & to remind us that it also testifies to the inadequacy of the Created Order when it comes to our own image, attributes, & authority, which are iffy at best when it comes to making sense of the world around us relative to providing a non-arbitrary epistemic warrant for theology & ethics.
Feng Shui can be prophetic or an act of witchcraft. Here is a perfect example of how witchcraft & pagan ideas can underwrite Interior Design. How does prophecy correct it?
1 - A prophetic design leaves the bed in the center as it is with light from God’s glory illuminating the Ark of the Covenant & throne in the room. The person in the bed rules the room.
2 - Never fear the demon ghost laughing at you. Take authority over it from your kingly throne (the bed),
3 - Remove the doors in favor of a curtain or not at all, giving you access to the laver for washing.
4 - Place something tall at each side of the door leading outside. Ensure it represents the temple guards in the room to assist you at a moment’s notice.
5 - Feng Shui of the Youtuber’s design allows the Mara to demand him to acquiesce to it via fearing its presence enough to move his throne closer to the escape hatch from the garden.
6 - Moreover, the curtain inside the Holy of Holies in your house deploys a curtain that obscures the shelves for your books and / or clothing stored there, both of which are important tools for defeating the Mara ghost that is now the Feng Shui decorator’s ruler.
7 - His ruler you say? Why yes, it is. As soon as you admit that you fear demons enough to design a room that seeks to avoid them & not engage them, they will take every opportunity to rule over you. How so?
8 - Answer : When the unclean spirit has gone out of a person, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, but finds none. 44 Then it says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when it comes, it finds the house empty, swept, and put in order. 45 Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they enter and dwell there, and the last state of that person is worse than the first. So also will it be with this evil generation.”
The Bible basically states that once a demon or set of demons has been driven out, they go on walkabout then decide to return to their old stomping grounds to make trouble. It also teaches that guilt & fear go together (I John) Thus, we deduce that demons are drawn to guilt & fear (which apart from the application of redemption, bondages us to fear of lifelong slavery to demons, vengeance, etc (Hebrews). We can also deduce that they will find a way to do their own brand of vengeance if thwarted. It’s better to resist a demon that play games with it or, for that matter to deploy them for one’s own ends &/or, God forbid, worship them.
May God bless us all, every one, & “Go & sin no more.”
