Let’s look at Genesis:   Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.” 19 Now out of the ground the Lord God had formed every beast of the field and every bird of the heavens and brought them to the man to see what he would call them. And whatever the man called every living creature, that was its name. 20 The man gave names to all livestock and to the birds of the heavens and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper fit for him. (Genesis 2:18 - 20, ESV) Why are the animals not fit helpers? In part, because although created first, they are governmentally inferior to him just as Adam is to God.   As to the immanent Trinity, the only fit helpers for God are God’s own hypostases.    Strictly speaking, we are not helpers — we are honored participants in the story of eternity, not authors co-equal to God.    God has no co-equals outside Himself.   Thus, th...

26 Then God said, 

“Let us make man 

in our image, after our likeness. And let them 

have dominion over 

the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

27 So God created man in his own image,in the image 

of God he created 

him; male and 

female he created them.

8 “Remember the Sabbath 

day, to keep it holy.

 9 Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath 

to the Lord your God. 

On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, 

or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the 

sojourner who is within your gates. 11 For in six days 

the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
