The Christian Post on Particularism

Dan Delzell asks if Unbelievers can lose their damnation & warns us all that once someone dies their judgment is full & final if they wind up in hell.

By way of reply…

His article testifies to the power of Ecclesiastical Tradition.

“Once your soul leaves your body, you no longer have the opportunity to "repent and believe the good news" (Mark 1:15). “

The text only commands us to repent & believe the Gospel.    It says nothing about losing the opportunity to repent once the soul leaves the body.    For all we know, God removes us from our bodies all the time, chats with us, then sends us back without it registering in our minds on Earth.

"Man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment" (Hebrews 9:27).

True, but the text doesn’t say that this judgment is full & final.   Acts 24:15 indicates that happens in the General Resurrection, the judgment of the Just & Unjust. There is no resurrection for anyone w/o union w/Christ. Union w/Christ results in life, never death,

“Make no mistake about it: No one who is in Hell today wants their relatives or friends to go there.”

No text teaches this, & we all know misery loves company. The Bible says Satan accuses day & night & the very parable the author quotes shows Rich Man demanding Lazarus come to him. His tears come across as crocodile tears & sound like a slaver who says one thing but really wants someone to oppress. They may or may not want their relatives there, but their enemies seem a different story according to Luke 16.
