The Restoration of Sodom

Christians (& others) are upset about the upcoming Gay Pride event to be held in June at the Dead Sea. 

According to Ezekiel, Sodom & Gomorrah will be restored.  According to Matthew, hey will rise up in the Judgment to testify against those to whom much more was given & from whom much is consequently required.  


The churches have ignored Romans 1:18 - 32 for over 1000 years.   God’s wrath is revealed from heaven against all the ungodliness & unrighteousness of men who have, since the dawn of time, routinely, chronically, systematically, & systemically suppressed the truth about God’s INVISIBLE attributes & supplanted that truth via substituting their own VISIBLE attributes &/or others drawn from the created order then reasoning accordingly as to theology, philosophy, & ethics.

 

The only road to the term “natural”  in Romans 1:26 - 27 meaning “heteronormative” & “unnatural” meaning “homosexual” runs through looking to the VISIBLE attributes of the created order, including the prelapsarian state of Adam & Eve, to do heteronormative sexual ethics instead of looking to God’s INVISIBLE attributes (which do not include sex/gender, sexuality, & suchlike). 

 

God has indicted us for perpetuating self-reinforcing theological, philosophical, & ethical ignorance.    The text expressly calls reasoning from the VISIBLE attributes of the created order “futility,” therefore “natural” & “unnatural” have nothing to do with the use of VISIBLE characteristics/attributes of the created order.   


The text informs us that the ancient world did idolatry out of their own VISIBLE attributes instead of God’s INVISIBLE attributes & then did heterosexual & homosexual sex acts in the service of their pseudodeities, & then they continued their descent by doing justice ethics in general —-over time resulting in the destruction of whole societies.

 

What is happening in Israel with respect to this event is a visible instance of the restoration of Sodom & Gomorrah and a providential reminder of what the churches have been doing.   This is a Judgment Day.

Romans 1:18 - 32 & Leviticus 18

  Paul is following the basic outline of a suzerain covenant in general     & the outline of Lev. 18 in particular.   Shema & Decalogue (Rom. 1:18 - 20)   God’s Image testifies to His attributes & Law.    God created people.
