Pentecost Reading: Acts 2

In the beginning, God created the heavens 

and the earth. 

The earth was 

without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God 

was hovering over the face of the waters.

And God spoke all these words, saying,

“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.

“You shall have no other gods before me.
