Is Donald Trump An/The Antichrist?


Our Presbyterian Forefathers had this to say about the Pope:


There is no other head of the Church but the Lord Jesus Christ; nor can the Pope of Rome, in any sense, be head thereof; but is that Antichrist, that man of sin, and son of perdition, that exalts himself, in the Church, against Christ and all that is called God. (WCF 25.6)


Their prooftexts are:   Matt 23:8-10; 2 Thess 2:3-4,8-9; Rev 13:6


As to President Trump, does this criterion apply? 

  • But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teacher, and you are all brothers. 9 And call no man your father on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven. 10 Neither be called instructors, for you have one instructor, the Christ. 11 The greatest among you shall be your servant. 12 Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.  (Matthew 23:8–12, ESV)

Donald Trump has repeatedly proven that he desires to be President of the United Stated above all else on this Earth, & he has also proven that he will even (seek to use) the United States Military as a tool to combat “the Enemy Within,” & he has also expressed his belief that certain United States cities ought to be used as “training grounds” by/for the Military.  


He has thumbed his nose at truth & at the judicial system & its authority over the Executive Branch in general& him in particular. 

  • And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, 10 and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, 12 in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.  (2 Thessalonians 2:8–12, ESV)

God defines righteousness as exhaustive & perfect love for God first, then everyone (and everything else), then one’s own self last (Matthew 22:34 - 40).  This kind of love fulfills the Law (Romans 13:8 - 10) & conquers fear related to guilt in the Judgment (1 John 4:17 - 21 )


At Charlie Kirk’s funeral, Donald Trump openly & notoriously stated that he disagrees with Charlie & Erika Kirk’s belief that we ought to love our enemies.  He went on to say that he does not love his enemies nor does he desire the best for them.  

  • It opened its mouth to utter blasphemies against God, blaspheming his name and his dwelling, that is, those who dwell in heaven.  (Revelation 13:6, ESV)

This text is part of a larger one: 


One of its heads seemed to have a mortal wound, but its mortal wound was healed, and the whole earth marveled as they followed the beast. 4 And they worshiped the dragon, for he had given his authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast, and who can fight against it?”  (Revelation 13:3–4, ESV)


On July 13, 2025, Donald Trump endured a figuratively mortal wound in literal fashion.  Not long thereafter, a media mogul (the False Prophet) decided to paraclete him while filling X (formerly known as Twitter) with lies, conspiracy theories, & hate speech and with Mr. Trump’s knowledge & (tacit) consent deployed it & himself as tools for him to win the presidency.   His behavior then (and now -  see below) ought to have been the kiss of death for his campaign & his presidency, but it hasn’t, & somehow people both then & now continue to fall for his sales pitch.   

  • Know therefore and understand that from the going out of the word to restore and build Jerusalem to the coming of an anointed one, a prince, there shall be seven weeks. Then for sixty-two weeks it shall be built again with squares and moat, but in a troubled time. 26 And after the sixty-two weeks, an anointed one shall be cut off and shall have nothing. And the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. Its end shall come with a flood, and to the end there shall be war. Desolations are decreed. 27 And he shall make a strong covenant with many for one week, and for half of the week he shall put an end to sacrifice and offering. (Daniel 9:25–27, ESV)

Early on, President Trump courted & won the (predominantly white) Evangelical & Conservative Christian community’s vote.  He even established an office called the Faith & Opportunity Initiative.  

  • The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.(Luke 6:45)

Whoever loves his brother abides in the light, and in him there is no cause for stumbling. But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes. (1 John 2:10-11)


Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. (1 John 3:15)


If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother. (1 John 4:20 - 21)


You brood of vipers! How can you speak good, when you are evil? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. (Matthew 12:34)


The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks. (Luke 6:45)


From the abundance of his heart does he speak.  In addition, his words & deeds spoken on Earth &

While we’re here, our hats are off to God Almighty Who Does All Things Well!  The artist’s rendering of Mr. Trump as a Sith Lord was a nice touch indeed, as was the rendering of him as the Pope/Hierophant!


HE WHO HAS EARS TO HEAR, HEAR WHAT THE SPIRIT IS SAYING TO THE CHURCHES!

Favorite Fallacies & Homosexuality
